Demo Okay, you want to see something. Let's go for the sound! You just have created a drum groove and now you want that all the world can hear it. You upload the file to your server. What's going to happen?
Now, if you installed mediawrap, you can use the following Listen to the Drum
Groove (RealAudio)! Note: If your MP3 player is not configured in your browser, your browser will ask you what to do with files of the type "audio/mpeg". Tell him to start a program and select your favourite MP3 player capable of streaming files from the Internet (for example WinAmp). You see that RealPlayer will be started almost immediately after you click on the link, and that it will begin to play the audio file after a few seconds. MP3 files will be slower, since they require a higher bandwidth. Note WinAmp and other MP3 players do not normally install themselves into the user's browser. When offering streamed mp3, you should add an explanation on how to integrate an MP3 player into your browser. When writing your HTML files, you can use the "normal" URL of the file. In this case, I stored the realaudio file in the directory software/mediawrap/demo-wrap/ on my web server, so the URL is - like you normally would expect it to be - http://www.web42.com/software/mediawrap/demo-wrap/drumgroove.rm. |
