mediawrap About
|
Installation In the archive you downloaded, you'll find a file called mediawrap.cgi. This is the main program file. Copy this file to a directory on your site where cgi files can be executed, for example cgi-bin and make sure the permissions are set correctly (for example with chmod 755 mediawrap.cgi) You can test if mediawrap can be executed by entering http://yoursite/cgi-bin/mediawrap.cgi into your browser. mediawrap should display a message that you did not supply a file name. To make your web server call mediawrap automatically each time when you access one of your media files, you have to copy the .htaccess file supplied in the archive you downloaded to your web servers main directory or a subdirectory of it. If there already is such a file, you have append the contents of the supplied .htaccess to your already existing .htaccess. After this, you can test mediawrap by accessing one of your media files. When you create web pages, just link your files as you normally would, i.e. use
mediawrap then will take care of the file. |
